Social Cycle is Enactus BCIT’s newest project and we are hoping to build it into a self-sustaining social enterprise to enrich the lives of those in our communities as well as in developing communities around the globe.  The project was developed to address the increasing concern of landfill waste, ocean pollution, and lack of resources for impoverished areas and struggling communities.  The project is growing through the combined efforts of the BCIT Applied Research centre, The Plastic Bank, Encorp Pacific Canada, our international partners in Grenada and Brazil, and its dedicated, innovative project members.  While still in its early stages, Social Cycle is working on researching, developing, and distributing products that are made through recycled materials to be used in a variety of ways to better communities they are introduced to.
